Ifour supports TEDx Royal Tunbridge Wells event with new website launch

We are always happy to support local initiatives in any way we can and when TEDxRoyalTunbridgeWells came to town we just couldn’t resist. TED stands for technology, entertainment and design, therefore it was a no-brainer that we got involved. At ifour we love technology, we try at times to entertain and of course at our very soul is design and creativity.

The TED phenomenon is a global conference with the motto ‘Ideas worth spreading’ where speakers’ presentations are videoed for the purpose of sharing with the wider world. There are talks on every single subject you could think of from algorithms to urban planning and pretty much everything in between.

TEDx is for independent organisers who want to create a TED-like event within their own community and last year ifour sponsored the inaugural event held at The Skinners Academy in Tunbridge Wells. With over 100 people in attendance it was a great opportunity for us to meet with other passionate TED enthusiasts. Given that the theme last year was “Diversity of Tunbridge Wells’, we used this chance to meet with local entrepreneurs and business owners to find out their thoughts on the town we live in. These can be found here

We are delighted to be involved again this year as a sponsor and have offered our services to create a new website for the event. Claire, our Business Development Manager, is also on the committee assisting with the marketing and promotion of the event.

The theme this year is ‘Leap of Faith’ and we have incorporated this idea within the design of the TedxRoyalTunbridgeWells home page. We were keen to create something a bit different from the norm and have used a series of characters floating freely, inspired as they glide through the air. The rest of the site effectively communicates the key event speakers, as well as news and videos from the previous event.

It is already shaping up to be an incredible event with some of the speakers already booked. We, for one, cannot wait to see what they have to say. Book your tickets here
