ifour proudly scoops triple gold and a silver at the Kent Digital Awards

Now in its second year the Kent Digital Awards rewards innovative and progressive thinking by businesses, individuals, events, charities or educational establishments. All have at the core of their entry a desire to use digital media as a means to achieve greater things for their business.

The KDA mission is not only to reward those businesses who have already taken significant strides forward but also celebrates a huge pool of design and development ability and, most importantly, showcases what is possible for any business willing to take that step forward.

ifour had entered all of its Kent-based businesses as well as their own blog and we were ecstatic to be named finalists in six categories. As we were in with the chance of winning big for our clients we decided to push the boat out and secured a table of 10 so they could share the awards fun with the some of the ifour team.

Gathering at the Brands Hatch Motorsport Vision Centre, there was ample opportunity to enjoy a champagne reception on the roof terrace whilst looking at the cars racing around the track below, and to network with clients and peers. We were delighted to be joined by Maxine from Lumina Energy, Billy Smith from FGS Recruitment, Kimberley Sanderson-Wells from Tunbridge Wells Local Life and, last but not least, Dan Foreman who heads up the wonderful event that is TEDxRTW.

Best Business Blog

Once the meal had been served we were on the edge of our seats, waiting for the ceremony to start. We did not have to wait long for the first gold of the night as ifour scooped the award for ‘Best Business Blog’. Claire and Léonie took to the stage and were greeted by Sevenoaks District councillor, Roderick Hogarth, who handed over the treasured prize. Business Development Manager, Claire, who manages the blog at ifour said, ‘its so amazing to win gold for our blog, we consistently try to ensure that it covers a wide range of topics that really engage our audience, so we are over the moon to be recognised in front of our peers this evening.’

Best Responsive Website

Next up for us was the best ‘Responsive Website’ for our client FGS Recruitment, we had high hopes for this site as it’s one of our favourite brands and their website is very different to some of the run-of-the-mill recruitment sites out there. We were chuffed to bits with a high commendable Silver gong, Billy and Graeme took to the stage to collect this award.

Best Marketing & Creative Website

Our very excitable table was growing noisier by the minute until the moment came for best ‘Marketing & Creative Website’ for TEDxRTW, this was a biggie for us as we had Dan, the founder, on the table and as Claire has spent much of her time assisting on the committee we really, really wanted this one and our dreams came true as we were called to collect the much coveted Gold Award.

Best B2B Website

Towards the end of the ceremony we were biting our nails for best ‘Website: B2B’ we had two clients in this category and one with us on the table, as the nominations were announced we were all feeling anxious until MC for the evening, BBC broadcaster Robin Bailey, explained, ‘This site caught the panel’s eye as the agency had managed to make a pretty dry and boring subject fun and engaging.’ We felt sure then that Lumina Energy had taken the top spot. You can imagine the cheer that went up as Maxine Kerley made her way to collect the Gold Award.

So, all in all, an extremely positive evening and a huge win/win for our clients and for us as an agency. It turns out that ifour collected the most golds of the night and Robin summed it up by saying “I’m obsessed with those guys at ifour they are fantastic” high praise indeed from the esteemed journalist and broadcaster.
