ifour creating captivating calendars

Allan + Bertram approached us to help them pitch a calendar concept to the British Army. With a particular target audience in mind they asked us to create concepts that would bring the together the history, the personal element and the professionalism of the British Army and that would captive interest throughout the year as each month was turned.

Pooling team creative juices we created a variety of concepts that we presented to Allan + Bertram who in turn presented these to the marketing heads at the Army. We outlined how each concept could be taken forward to the end result including use of imagery and all information.

The most appropriate concept was chosen and away we went to research all the images needed and most importantly all the facts on which the crux of the calendar hinged. This was a mammoth task but very rewarding and enlightening. The end result is a calendar that includes 12 riveting main images, together with interesting historic and present day army events coupled with intriguing ‘did you know’ facts.

The British Army Calendar wins Silver award for 'Best Subject' category at the 2015 National and World Calendar Awards.

The expert judging panel examined the following criteria:

Quality of artwork/photography/graphics
Readability and information quality of the calendar grid
Originality of the calendar
Complete execution of the calendar subject/theme
