Adventures in BBC breakfast radio
While Claire is often up early bright eyed and bushy tailed ready for work, today she had an extra early start as BBC Radio Kent invited her to be their guest newspaper reviewer on the Breakfast Show with Libby Sutcliffe and John Warnett.
Following a quick chat and a review of the papers, it was soon time to get on air. At 7.30am Libby opened the conversation by mentioning our ever popular A boards, which are starting to become stars in their own postcode! The slot then moved on to discuss a variety of the days hot topics.
Claire said ‘A most unusual start to the day heading off to the BBC Radio Kent studio at 06.30 for the morning news review slot, all in the name of media exposure for ifour. So pleased the A Boards got a mention among subjects including a potential Icelandic Volcano eruption, the struggle that face graduates today when leaving University, Ebay and their 15th birthday, new Twitter rules allowing unfollowed tweeters to appear in your timeline and of course the bank holiday weather and Cliff Richard. Fortunately I was not advised of the listening figures until after the show, a mere 265,000 heard my dulcet tones today.'
We think Claire did a brilliant job and are looking forward to her next appearance, even if her new theme song in the studio is Queen’s Radio Gaga!
