Adam's 48 hour Magic Marathon in The Pantiles
ifour have had the honour of supporting and being baffled by local magician Adam Smith as he embarks on one of his greatest challenges to date: a 48 hour magic marathon to raise money for Multiple Sclerosis Society.
This charity is close to Adam’s heart, with his mother being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) when he was just 13, he describes the effect of the neurological condition on his mother as “heartbreaking” as she was forced to use a wheelchair due to the damage to her nerves.
Adam began his challenge at midday on Sunday 7th August and embarked on a 48 hour marathon that took him until midday on Tuesday 9th, with him only leaving the Pantiles bandstand for short comfort breaks. A raffle was held with some fantastic prizes on offer by generous local businesses to raise additional money for the charity, with the lucky winners being announced after Adam completed the marathon on Tuesday afternoon.
The ifour team set out on Monday to see a demo of his perplexing skills for themselves and were thoroughly impressed by his tricks, even with his sore fingers he did not disappoint! Our creative genius Graeme donated £40 to the charity on behalf of everyone in the ifour office to help support the 100,000+ people in the UK who are affected.
