Microsoft NHS Resource Centre Invite a friend competition

The Microsoft NHS Resource Centre is dedicated to 1.4 million NHS staff. The site enables a huge variety of NHS professionals to access discounted Microsoft products and free IT learning. Users can also sign up and join an online community of over 20,000 NHS staff where they can create their own profile, post messages and articles and participate in group discussions.

The site continues to attract unique users everyday where they find various changing online promotions and new tips and articles.

Brief:
To increase the number of registered users on the NHS Resource Centre and to increase the flow of traffic to the site, Microsoft commissioned us to create a competition emailer which encouraged current members to invite their colleagues to sign up to the site. The top 10 referrers would each win an Xbox 360 Elite.

We were also commissioned to create a campaign page and various NHS Resource Centre site banners advertising the competition.

ifour Solution:
An eyecatching contemporary styled emailer making the most of the heading 'Invite your friends and win BIG' with an oversized image of the product alongside small silhouettes of people. In addition, the landing page allowed the registered user to enter 10 of their friends' NHS email addresses to win the prize.

This style, layout and colour scheme was rolled out in various banner formats featured on the NHS Resource Centre site and to date the competition has been very successful in adding new users to the site.
